Old Town Yucca Valley Specific Plan

The Old Town Yucca Valley Specific Plan refers to a redevelopment project that was initiated in 2003 by the Town of Yucca Valley, the Old Town Merchant's Association and R.B.F. Consulting.

Economic and physical revitialization at the west end of Yucca Valley, commonly referred to as "Old Town," is the goal of the Old Town Specific Plan. It calls for moving State Highway 62 (the Twentynine Palms Highway) north to Yucca Trail and creating, in its place, a public-friendly walking district of art, culture and entertainment. Changes in zoning will expand commercial, office and mixed-use (office or residential above retail) areas and provides an exciting opportunity for Yucca Valley to become a true tourist destination.
